alright am back to save the day again
had been avoiding this place for a long time now. a major procrastinator that i am (i even made a lil radio-play on this topic, yes a radio-play on procrastination! but whatever my stupid group members screwed way too much with the script blah blah whatever am not heading off topic now)
so then i thought about those of you who do not really have a life out side the www lol (yes count me in that list too) and decided that i'd write another post. so there have been a few changes since i posted last time. my band needs a drummer and its not easy to fine one, a good one, in this city for sure. and so band jams have been on a hold since the last tour. oh yes! the tour! the fucking awesome crazy makeyoufeellikearockstartour i never told you about until now
ok so one day i get a call from this guy Ishan, who tells me his band needs a bass player, i couldnt really get the name of the band though. anyway ok alright so here is the setlist, i prepare and audition and woah! after two weeks i am on a FUCKING AWESOME makeyoufeellikearockstar TOUR! four gigs, three cities, a lot of money! ok so we went rolling. yeah btw, the name of the band is "poured on ice"
day1-gig1 was nice , the train journey sucked but the venue was decent, a good sound setup so we sound check, sounded totally βΘИΞКЯŲŜĦÏИĞ®. yep thats the word βΘИΞКЯŲŜĦÏИĞ® so good venue, good sound, food, booze, chicks, $$ :D
day2-fun day, go around the town, fairs, play games etc etc maybe we did the sound check for gig2 that evening or maybe the next, i dont really remember ya know.... gig2 was a free gig, venue was nice; we had our bands posters hanging all around by now. power failures did screw us twice but rest was cool. ok then so then we move for pune after a day or two
and yeah while we were in ahmednagar, damn! believe you me, we stayed in this fuckingcrazymakeyoufeellikeasrockstar palace sort of a thing with half a dozen servants, gardens and what not. we had all these army gypsies taking us around. last day in nagar we guys were at this tomb, one heavenly beautiful place that is. bad news was that the mumbai gig was cancelled due to comunal tension :(
alrigh then so the train keeps moving we land in pune, hmmm so we now meet this new sound engineer his name is MARS and he is a bit of a dick. i wasnt happy with the stage sound much and never bothered about the FOH sound coz i knew he is one of those failed guitarist turned sound engineer :P lol anyway so that was the last day, same stuff food, booze, chicks, $$ :D
that was like a short version of what i remember bt now of the fuckingcrazymakeyoufeellikeasrockstar tour. i guess i must have forgotten some important details and i know i havent written about the other important developments if you know what i mean ;) :P for i dont know who might be reading this.
we got our live dvd of the pune gig. seems like the FOH sound was kinda good although the idiot had added some delay to the vocals during a few songs and we had no idea about that until we got this whatever now what is done is done. the band partied once back home, after which the drummer left the band and we dont really want to play with the guitarist2 anymore so he is out too. now looking for new members and would be rolling soon i hope. personally i had to sit through my semester exams and last years re-appear papers which i flunked in too :( that time was pretty hard but now am over it and i spend a lot of my time watching movie. i keep downloading 24x7 for i paid so much for this internet connection lol
